How do my Somfy Protect devices work with TaHoma?

 

From TaHoma, you can control and operate your following Somfy Protect equipment:

  • Somfy Home Alarm Advanced
  • Somfy Home Alarm Essential
  • Somfy One / One+
  • Somfy Home Alarm
  • Somfy Security Camera

From the TaHoma Application If you own a Somfy Home Alarm Advanced, you can:

  • Activate the alarm,
  • Deactivate the alarm,
  • Activate the night mode.

When your site is equipped with a video device, you can also:

  • View the video stream

 

Alarm Modes and Intrusion

 

The TaHoma - Somfy Protect integration allows for different levels of control:

  • when you activate or deactivate the alarm you can automatically trigger other devices
  • in the event of an intrusion, in addition to the siren, it is possible to operate other equipment associated with your TaHoma box

The setting is done from the TaHoma application. Go to the "scenario" menu.

 

How to create your first scenario?

Click on "Create your first scenario" A list of scenario suggestions is offered that allows you to combine actions on your equipment and your Somfy Protect alarm:

  • "I'm arriving" scenario, it allows you to manually trigger actions on your equipment. Example: Deactivate my alarm and turn on my lights
  • "I'm leaving" scenario, it allows you to manually trigger actions on your equipment. Example: Activate my alarm, close my shutters, and turn off my lights
  • "Night" scenario, it allows you to close your blinds, awnings, curtains... and turn off unnecessary appliances during the night. Example: Activate my alarm's night mode, turn off standby appliances, and lower the heating at night
  • "Morning" scenario, it allows you to open your blinds, awnings, curtains and turn on useful appliances during the day. Example: Deactivate my alarm's night mode, turn on useful plugs (television, coffee machine, etc.), and set your heating to comfort mode
  • "Vacation" scenario, set up your holidays and your presence simulation to be able to leave with peace of mind. Configure your unnecessary equipment during an extended absence to save energy.

You can also create your own scene according to your needs. Three types are offered:

  • Manual scene: create your own atmospheres and run them whenever you want.
  • Schedule: On a specific time or date.
  • Advanced: create your scene from A to Z by adding one or more conditions

Select the desired type of scene, and then let the application guide you.

 

How to create more scenarios

 

Once the first scenario is operational, to set up the following ones, simply click on "Create a new scene". The same scenario suggestions are offered.
